Lily is a SLIA alumna who has played concertina for most of her life. She currently works at Saint Louis University in the Office of Admission, and is pursuing her Masters in Social Work.

Mike Mullins - pipes
Mike Mullins first heard uilleann pipes in Ireland and was taken with the sound. Playing Irish marches and such on the great pipes in the 60’s with the Shamrock Pipe Band, was a start toward a lifelong interest in pipes and pipe music. Acquiring a set of uilleann pipes a couple of decades later put him back on the road that had beckoned in his youth. In 1998, along with Michael Cooney, he started a weekend of traditional music workshops, sessions, and concerts, with an emphasis on uilleann pipes, that is now in its 30th year. Since retiring, Mike has taken on a steady stream of students to pass on this most unique of instruments which has earned Unesco World Heritage status as “The Sound Of Ireland’..

Adult Dance Classes
There is an adult Irish dance class that meets the 1st & 3rd Mondays of the month at The Focal Point at 7 pm. The cost is $5. This class is run by The St. Louis Irish Set Dancing Group. SLIA plans to partner with them to host quarterly ceilis!
